Re: toronto wedding picture locations: park, beach, etc
if you want the beach, sunnyside pavilion right on lakeshore is lovely. parkwood estate is gorgeous for an outdoor venue if you're in the east end, as are the toronto botanical gardens but they're midtown. i've heard james garden in etobicoke is also lovely. a lot of people have chosen architecturally interesting hotels to take pictures in too- like the royal york or the king eddy. the distillery district is also very popular for pictures.
most parks and gardens will require permits and a small fee before you're allowed to take pictures there and some have limits on the number of couples booked at one time.

this site is great because they’ve shot at so many different venues, you can look thru and see if theres one you would like for your pictures and/or reception

Re: toronto wedding picture locations: park, beach, etc
which are the best hotels do you think to take photos in?
Re: toronto wedding picture locations: park, beach, etc
its a personal preference, really... you could go somewhere really mod like the Metropolitan or somewhere old school like the King Eddy. i'd say go visit a bunch of them one day and you'll find somewhere you love!
somebody from work went to a park near square one for some wedding photos, i don't know the name of the park but it had lots n' lots of cherry blossom trees and they were all blooming so it was just beautiful but that all depends on the time of the year the wedding is taking place...
also for an architecturally interesting place you could always do U of T - it has many great spots like Con Hall, Victoria college, etc... while i was at uni there i would always see tons of ppl getting their wedding pics done (although I've never seen desis for some reason)...
Re: toronto wedding picture locations: park, beach, etc
yes, u of t is gorgeous too!!
Re: toronto wedding picture locations: park, beach, etc
One of the managers in my office had met his wife at work (I work at TD Securities). So they had their photoshoot in Toronto Dominion Building's court yard (Bay and Wellington). It's actually quite nice and enclosed. Plus you wouldn't find many people there on the weekend.
Re: toronto wedding picture locations: park, beach, etc
you can also try the distillery district
IMO, park shoots are over rated
try www stillmotion ca
they have very nice pictures
GTA Photoshoot Location HELP
im trying to figure out somewhere to do a photoshoot for the day after my wedding. I tried contacting UofT do use their facilities since they have nice architecture, but they said that you can only use their facilities if you have a ceremony with them...
Now im wondering where anyone else has done their photos in Toronto?
places i can think of are:
Edwards Garden
Guild Inn
and i draw a blank after that!
HELP!
Re: GTA Photoshoot Location HELP
try parkwood estate in oshawa- they have beautiful grounds. i got married there and we did our pics there too- Parkwood National Historic Site, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada for tours, weddings, events, films and movies
also check out The Carlu at yonge/college, and the King Eddy is beautiful too.
oh, also, if its a summer wedding, Sunnyside Pavilion is down by the water and has some really beautiful, spanish-style architecture with whitewashed walls. their courtyard is a really pretty venue for a wedding.
you could also opt for something really modern and choose to shoot right on Bay St., oh and also, the Distillery is beautiful.
Re: GTA Photoshoot Location HELP
thanks for the list ill get right on it!
parkwood is really nice, your wedding must have been beautiful!
Re: GTA Photoshoot Location HELP
