I need information for this, I need it for Pakistan,
I need the price idea, make, model info.

You need a cell phone with "900" frequency and it needs to be UNLOCKED.
There are lots and lots of phones that have 900 frequency, so fidning one shouldn't be a problem in USA.

If you buy a phone from a retailer such as T-mobile, its is LOCKED. Which means it is programmed to work only with T-Mobile. You can get it unlocked in Pakistan for quite cheap (couple of $ if they rip you off) or it should be about $10-$20USD in states if someone private does it. (Cingular or T-Mobile ... one of them actually give you the code to unlock for free, if you ask).
Let me know if need help with phone selection etc. If you get a nokia phone, I might be able to unlock it for free for you.

I am not sure if any mainstream cellular carrier in the US is selling Desktop GSM phones. You can Google and find something from another country. Like this

Oops ... heheh I missed the "DESKTOP" part, I thought he need a cell phone. Why would you want to get desktop when you can have the cell mobile to be taken anywhere.

but anyhooo, ya no carrier sells it in US. Ebay is your best option.

I have used Ericsson F221m extensively in Indonesia. It is not a phone by itself. It is a GSM Tri-band terminal (should work in Pakistan). You can attach any normal land phone to it. You can also attach external antenna with it for better reception.

I don't know about the price. We ordered a dozen of them from Singapore for off location use. I can get you the price if you want from my office in the morning.
