I have decided to put together a contest to test eachothers PS skills, as well nerves. :rotato:
Here’s how it’ll work: (If anyone can think of a better way to set this up, let me know)
I will give a couple of ‘projects’ for others to complete. One may choose to praticipate in doing as many projects as they want. The original pictures do not need to be posted next to the submissions.
Others may also give ‘projects’ for others to complete. A description of the project must be provided, as well as the original picture which is to be Photoshopped in whichever fashion the project is described as. (Refer to my next post in this thread to see an example of how the projects should be explained).
Rules:
Do not flood in this thread. Those who choose not to participate have the option of commenting on the submissions. (i.e. Stating which submission you thought was the most impressive from each project.)
Harsh/rude criticism of other’s submissions will NOT be tolerated.
Pictures of fellow members of GS may not be used as part of the ‘projects’, unless permission has been asked from that individual.
Submissions must be posted within 4 DAYS of the project being announced.
Only ONE SUBMISSION from a participant per project will be accepted.
Upload the pictures to an external link and then paste the link in your post. Asking Gizzy to upload all the pictures for us would take too long and be burden for him.
Posts containing the submissions should state which project the submission is for.
The projects given should be explained in the following general format:
Project Title: Basketball Players Project Description: “Remove” as many of the basketball players from the court as you can. (or anyone else that is standing infront/on the court). *Note: When I say “remove”, I mean take the people out of the picture while still making the picture LOOK original/unedited) Original Picture: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/phatima1/basketballplayers.jpg

So that one kid sitting in the front row at the top left portion of the picture, wearing the dark green shirt…where did you get him from? He wasn’t in the original …and how come he’s not wearing red like everyone else!
And HOW did you do the “The Washington Post” sign without taking out any of the letters?! I had a hard time doing that part, hence the crappy outcome
hmm The only flaw I found was how the basketball players sitting on the seats were removed. You forgot to erase their behinds from the bottom portion of the chairs! =D I’m just kidding. Awesome job, thankyou for participating!
That pic with the green shirt is a duplicate cut out of the pic 1 seat over on the right. Do you see it? I just made his shirt green, and made him a bit dark so hez different
and the man with the grey shirt in between them..I duplicated the other part of his body to create his other legs :hehe:

Sometimes you have to think outside the box phatti…I went to you “UMD Terps” thread in Image gallery and in ANOTHER pic almost from the same angle, you have the washington post sign perfectly unblocked. Go check the thread.
I cut it out from there, and posted it here. Then I made the reflection at the bottom myself hehe

Cressi, okay I’ll try thinking up one more tonight or something. Where the heck is Shery when you need him? He’s always there when you don’t want him to be!
I am more into designing logos/web services than in editing photos. I can do a little but I really like what you guys did there. Both of you had great results.
