Point of this thread isn’t to glorify one member or even for me as a ‘leader’, not an ‘expert’ to keep telling you about my accomplishments etc and how I’ve gotten so good. I am here to learn too, from you guys. Point of this thread is for each and everyone of us, to learn photography. To progress together. There is no competition between people. I will make sure there is no biased behaviour from my side as well. Each and everyone of the entries up till now have their own good thing about them and one thing is for sure, all of you ARE creative. I can see that from the way the photographs have been taken. Now that Lippy has posted her photo as well, we can go on towards the critiquing!

Why does your photo look better on Flickr, compared to as an internal attachment on GS? Either case, love the sky.

sheal pmed me tht she will post tonight, i dont know which country she is , so when will be her night, muqawee said his bluetooth is not working so he cant transfer pics, so he will start particpating after eid, no reply from others

Why does your photo look better on Flickr, compared to as an internal attachment on GS? Either case, love the sky.
Just noticed that, It's due to the back ground. on Flicker it appears the white background but on GS it appears the black background.

Lesson number 0: Why do we need to critique our own work and others work?
- Sometimes when we critique others work for them, we observe and notice something that they miss out.
- Critiquing our own work is akin to proof reading after writing something. You notice typographical errors etc. Albeit maybe you can't rectify your work, you can keep things in mind for next time. For example, if the photo you took turns out to be over exposed or under exposed.
- Clarity: Does what you have shot, make sense to you or would make sense to others? Thinking about the technicalities here.
- If you spot other peoples' mistakes or things they've done right, it will help you next time you go out and shoot your own photos.
- Explaining things, helps you retain them in the mind.
Definition: What is a critique? A critique is an oral or written discussion strategy used to analyse, describe, and interpret works of art. Critiques help students hone their persuasive oral and writing, information-gathering, and justification skills.
What I want each one of you to do is this. Each student/member is going to evaluate everyone else's photograph. For example:
Lippy: answers to critique questions
STA: answers to critique questions
and so on.
Here's the questions/Your next homework:
- What stands out most in their photograph?
- Explain the reason to question number 1
- As you keep looking at the photograph, what do you think?
- What aspect of the photo you like and dislike the most?
- Give a caption to the person's photograph
- What can they do to make the photograph look better?

Yes, you have to peer review your fellow students photos. Everyone has to do that. I will go back through the thread and post all of the photos in one place to make it easier for everyone.

the water droplets make the pic come alive
