Re: GS Photography learning classes with dubaiwali
I should update my facebook page I’ve been lazy so haven’t uploaded any pictures.
A lot of amateur photography with no photoshop/cropping etc because I’m lazy.
check it out if you want
Please make a critiquing thread~
Re: GS Photography learning classes with dubaiwali
Definitely going to check it out now. I love seeing photos. Favourite past time. I’ll make the thread as well. ![]()
Re: GS Photography learning classes with dubaiwali
most of the time I forget to take a camera with me when I'm out and I miss a great shot. My SO thinks I take way too many pictures only because he would take 2/3 pics if he went an event while I would pick 30/40 pictures out of about 80 pics that I took.
Re: GS Photography learning classes with dubaiwali
DW: check your pm
Re: GS Photography learning classes with dubaiwali
You should always take lots of photographs, so you have a wide variety of options to choose from. Be it if you go outside or an event inside. I always take lots of photos. Sometimes 900 in a day. Then you go over and select the best ones from that. It is good that you take a lot of photos.

Re: GS Photography learning classes with dubaiwali
I always do that probably 300 or so at most then thin it down 100.
Its just mundane things that I take pictures of now.
I'm going out tomorrow night so maybe I'll take pictures then.
Re: GS Photography learning classes with dubaiwali
Awesome and by that time hopefully the critique thread will be up. Would like to see photography from you as well.
Re: GS Photography learning classes with dubaiwali
sure I'll be going out tomorrow night so maybe I'll take a picture of the night life in shibuya. if I forget my camera again I'll take a picture of shoes
Re: GS Photography learning classes with dubaiwali
Camera isn’t charged so I’m just posting a pic I took a week ago.
Re: GS Photography learning classes with dubaiwali
Main point is to have a photo on you, because the next part of the assignment will compel you to use it. Kakee you are excluded since you are using a netbook, however rest of my students/members; they are going to be part of this assignment. I am posting it here now.
*All of you that submitted photos and got their photos critiqued, are requested to download Picasa. What I want you guys to do now is, to make the photo look better IN YOUR EYES, using Picasa and post the changed/edited photo here. You are to use Picasa. If you have any other software, use that. I do not want photos edited using online tools, which are very amateurish. A proper editing software. Okay, looking forward to your homework now. *
DA could you please PM everyone who submitted photos, to do this part of the assignment please?

I say thing a lot and I don't what that truck is (atm my head is going its a "rukshati!!" but I know it's not -.-")
What stands out most in their photograph?
The rikshaw that I forgot the name of
Explain the reason to question number 1
Because the rikshaw put on a wooden box and not next to it which makes me think this is a center piece?
- As you keep looking at the photograph, what do you think?
that she should have cropped the picture to center it as well as angled it more.
- What aspect of the photo you like and dislike the most?
The two pieces are too dominant its kind of distracting...
- Give a caption to the person's photograph
Rikshaw on a wooden box
- What can they do to make the photograph look better?
Crop it and instead of putting two dominant objects just put one (I would have chosen the box). and perhaps center in at it more?
if you wish to put two or more objects; put flowers or books even opening the box and putting a letter + that rikshaw would have put more context in it.
Re: GS Photography learning classes with dubaiwali
I do think you should have a theme instead of just randomly taking pictures otherwise its hard to have a sense of what they are trying to do?
From a lot of the pictures, they are taking pictures of objects that I believe are important to them (I know because I read their blogs) but they don't know how to express that.
Editing comes later I think first you have to know how to take a picture and how to take it properly with what theme you have in mind.
From an artistic point of view anyway
Re: GS Photography learning classes with dubaiwali
are you saying my decorating skills are not good enough? ![]()
Thanks for the advice!!
I’ll crop it ![]()
And I do agree with you that we should learn how to take proper pictures before we start editing.
Maybe DW can post 2 pictures of the same objects. One in a way that’s a photography no-no and one in a way that looks better on camera???
