If you are muslim then maybe this is your country but if you are human then this is your homeland, your dreamland, your land, which was founded on the concept of social justice, tolerance and opportunities for the oppress. And after 71 years from the day of resolution and 64 years of independence, we haven’t reached there.
The reason is none other then our own behavior, we blame everything on the leadership we select/elect or support, we blame sharifs, zardaris and musharafs for our short comings and at same time we forget that it is us who have supported and elected these corrupt politicians, no one, no America, no Jew, no Indian no body but we are to be blamed for this.
This ruling elite with their track-record of failures have been supported and elected time after time, Allah All mighty have given us numerous opportunities to get ourselves a sincere and competent leadership, but for some reason, which is not clear to us, we tend to select these people, if I have a bad driver to drive my car, he will for sure make accidents and will do all the wrongs which a bad/incompetent driver is capable of doing, whom to blame in that scenario a driver with proved record of bad-doings or me, for selecting him? Answering this might help us solve many of our leadership issues.
Let us all pledge to our selves, to our faith, for the sake of our younger generation for our kids for our country to be wiser and honest to ourselves, lets promote the culture of tolerance with zero tolerance to corruption and extremism of any kind. No body from outside is going to make reform, there is no Mehdi promised to the land called Pakistan, so lets not waste anytime in waiting.
Being in Investment and Financial industry, it is my job to study the potential of the countries, Pakistan, as per the reports I have seen and been through have got one of the greatest potential in the region, mining and minerals, industry and trade, hydro and solar power are few to be named, the country have all the basics it needed to flourish, all it need from its citizen being honest with it, can we be? That is the million dollar question, the ask is not to sacrifice your life for it, it is simple, like I said before, lets be honest to ourselves, lets be sincere to our selves and I am sure that the sincere and honest leadership would emerge, it is not possible that in the country of 170 million, there is not one capable person to lead the country out of its current misery.
On this Pakistan Day, let us all vow to make this country a dream land a homeland for humans…
