How many of you here are real close friends, the ones you are in touch with off GS/off net too?

How long you have known each other and what the kind of relationship you guys share?

some have been my close friends for 15 years.....others for 13 and still others for about a decade.
great relationships that have begun to surpass those that I had with childhood friends and even some family members.

i too have a question since it has just been about 2 years since I joined GS. Were you people friends BEFORE GS and came with a brainchild of a forum or did you all become friends later ...

Is there any story of GS in making shared somewhere here? if yes I woud love to read it !

For so far i know alot of people on the forum only but not interacted with anybody privately yet though there are alot I really like for their thinking :)

I've met one guppy and two guppans recently and it was wonderful....hope to meet other people too especially the regular oldies.

there is a story of GS in the making.....its posted.....but finding the thread will be a task and a half......
who's up to it?

you will find mine and X2's posts in it......

it all started in the comments section of a personal website that Azkar had put up......I was researching Pakistan and stumbled upon it......left some comments about the site......a dialogue started between me and X2 right there in the comments section and we started discussing something......

next thing we knew Azkar sent us an email asking to join him with setting up a bulletin board for the community.....

the rest is history.

I am equally curious to know the answers to these questions given the number of GS friends on my friends list that I'm finding hard to manage.

TLK was around in the very early years......I think he joined in the first or second year of GS being around.
ehsan bhai came a number of years later.....he will remember exactly when better than I will.

as far as the Channel Admins are concerned.......this is a structure that TLK can take credit for.......when he became Director he established the org structure and staffed it.......probably coming up to three or four years now.....again, he can better explain.

Installing a bulletin board must have been a difficult task back then. Has GS always been on vBulletin?

I want to meet some as well, have been reading about them for 5-6 years now, then later joined and started posting myself.

Can some one post that GS's creation story .. we'd all love to know how it came about.
