In some ways, it can be nice too. There is this one aunty that is actually closer to my ex-husband than my family. I LOVE not seeing her at parties because every time she sees me…she will hold my hand and start: “beta dekho tum himmat mat haro aur agay barho aur apne aap ko depress mat honay do…blah blah blah”. Do I look depressed? No. I dont mind the lecture because she means well but when she starts, ten people look our way and get soooo curious about this supposed tragedy that Im being samjhao-ed about. That means I have to explain and tell my sordid tale at a perfectly happy occasion where the last person that needs any attention is me.
actually no. A more proper example of what i was trying to state was if “doppelganger” was part of our “group” or friends with all of us whom we are suddenly, without provocation attacking. But what you are seeing is what was perceived as a snide remark or dig or, shall we go further, personal attack, by the participants against someone who is a friend to them. Therefore, the ones quoted in DaffyDucks’ post were merely wondering what happened.
