Short kameez, long shalwaars, bell bottoms, safari suits, long pointy collars, bush coats, sideburns, ponytails, real wooden furniture, brown toned interior decor… yes sir that was the life. Welcome to the 70s.

My family has always been a bit more on the conservative side so they werent into over the top fashion but the era still somehow manages to seep into every home- rich or poor, liberal or conservative.

The sisters: Khala, khala, mom (holding sis), khala, khala. 1978.

Just loungin: Someone, someone, sis, dad, sis, someone. 1978.

Bell bottom galore: Bro, mamoo, bro, bro. 1978-79.

I unfortunately was a bit late gettin to the party. Captain Lota circa 1981.

And a litte later, 1985’ish: Khala, nani, mamoo, dad, mom. And yours truly.*

Laadli yeah i figured this short kameez fashion is back again. Except this time around the shalwars would put the tightest hip hugger jeans to shame :hehe:

KARAKUSH i’ve dimmed all except myself. I dont want to bother getting each of their permissions to post their pics online.

cat-woman and wiseguy yeah i think alot about people’s physiques can be attributed to the kinds of food eaten then. Almost no fast food, nothing chemical. All healthy organic food.. better than whats available today anyway. Plus i think people got out more often since in pak there was no computer and no vcr and hardly any tv’s. They actually had lives :stuck_out_tongue:

love the pics!!! in fact, i wanted to have a 70s look on my bro's mehndi...even had that poof of a puff hairdo with a paranda....i loved the eyemakeup back then.....
