everyone wears suits on your walima , whats the difference in guests and groom then ?
can a groom wear a nice short sherwni and trouser? instead
if it has to be a suit , could it be a bit different … with fancy collars ( velvet stuff ) , etc ? or that would look cheap ?

My hubby wore a very different thing on our nikkah back in 2010! And gosshhh it was amazinggg! it was a kinda dinner suit with dress pants! Black in color! A page on facebook posted our pictures. Here’s the link!

definitely a suit for the valima. i think a charcoal grey suit that has a teensy bit of sheen to the fabric looks great on men, but depending on what you are wearing it might not go. If it does go, a matching tie of your suit color would look fab. tuxedos are a great "fancy" option too

^^^ this white anghrakha style blazer … but the lehnega is ferozi/beige … what editing i should do in this blazer piping and trouser/pant , keeping in mind lhenga colors ?

It might sound stupid.....but to be different he could just wear a suit but with a bow-tie instead of a normal tie. Those things really jazz up suits.....dunno, just thought I'd throw my two cents in!

Silverish grey - but then again that's a personal choice. May be you can start another thread with a poll on different colors ;)
