Why wud this even be a issue?... If MIL does shopping you could always ask her to get you your things. :-S or am i missing something?
cuz some people like 2 make issues................it can be either 1) the sass wants to take on responsibilities of the house n learn how 2 run the house...so she may ask her to do the groceries. which in turn wl be taken as the sass wanting a maid out of her bahu :D. 2) the the bahu wants to do grocery, wanting to run the place n all. N the sass thnks she is wanting to take over the house.
so thats wat the whole fuss is abt.
I live in a joint family system and my in-laws do the grocery shopping each week. If the hubs and I want to buy something we go ahead and buy it, but if my MIL asks to pick something up from the grocery store she always insists she pay us back b/c she doesn't want us to use our money for groceries.
