Yup. It keeps things nice and easy as both of us work. No bread actually. I make it using red masoor. I saute any veggies I have in the fridge in evoo, fresh black pepper, any herbs I have, garlic, ginger. Add in soaked red masoor. Add in chicken or beef broth (whatever I have on hand) and cook. Salt to taste after the broth has been added. Occasionally, I add in cooked ground beef/chopped steak to make it heartier.
