Grinder lid is stuck

Someone used the grinder to grind some masala..and now the lid is stuck. What do I do?

put a thick rubber band around the lid and try to open it.

dip it into boiling water for few seconds. it ill expand and will open up when forced.

yes..this works as long as only the lid is plastic and the jar of the grinder is glass.
if both are plastic then sometimes both expand and nothing happens.
