it is not a case of which party is ruling the province. What happened there was a national tragedy. Did Zardari or Bilawal go there?

Over the last few days while watching the tragedy in France you could see how the whole political establishment was involved and yesterday at the funeral of the three policeman the president himself was there and gave these three the highest bravery award.

Contrast that with our own prime minister and president. Where were they when the funerals of these kids were taking place?

Shameful really.

Sure, why not, but the reality is all who went there were connected to the school - COAS(Army School), PM as National Leader, KP Govt)

If someone visit's who doesn't have connection to the site, they would be accused on making a fake drama.

So apparently, at some point in his today's press conference, Imran still talked about dhandliee and rigging ....I have seen many tweets abt this...if true, he definitely needs to have a sharp media/PR/communication adviser!

Imran is the same lying, hypocritical power hungry politican, as others. No better, no worse.

Nope. No one bothers asking why xyz politician’s wife or husband hasn’t accompanied them on their official visit, so why should absence of Imran’s wife be any kind of concern for anyone? Have we ever seen Khourshid Shah’s wife tagging along with him wherever he goes?

It was quite tasteless for them to act like glorified First Couple on such occasion. Look at social media, far more attention is being paid on how gorgeously pretty Aunty Giggly looked for the camera, and what a perfect and happily ever after couple they seem to make whilst there is no sense of remorse for absolutely painful and life-long grieving of the parents who lost their sons.

As for cultural sensibilities, don’t Pakistanis traditionally observe 40 day mourning period? Hence the extra publicity and glamour should’ve been avoided on this occasion simply out of respect.

political press conferences are not one-dish parties. Its a multi-course affair. Haven't you heard Zradari crying for his loneliness and cursing billa on his beloved wife's anniversaries.

Then addressing crowd in death anniversaries is also a different occasion, but our political leaders use such occasions to say what pleases them more.

wait wait wait.........if the idea is to defend khan's wrong acts or stupid moves based on what zardari/nawaz have done in the past, then i am sorry, the whole notion of naya pakistan is dead right there...just saying it

coming back to this press conference....yes journalists will ask any question but khan could have simply said "no other topic today" and case closed. seasoned politicians do it all the time.

Imran Khan is the Shahid Afridi of politics, he thinks it is his divine responsibility to answer every single question a reporter throws at him. I wonder how many times Afridi had landed himself in trouble with PCB just because he dignified an irrelevant bait question with an equally irrelevant and blunt answer? No wonder they're both each other's favourite. I bet there's an entire wall in Afridi's house where he had pinned down every single PCB show cause notice that he received in his 19 year long career. There must be at least couple of hundred of those.

Everyone from sportsmen to politician (and even anchors) are not media trained. They just don't know how to handle the press.
