Green Town Police to remove Quranic verses from Ahmadis’ shops

Constitutions can always be amended so that excuse is invalid. The best hope for Ahmadies today is the US, Canada, UK, etc. We have a substantial number of them in the US and Canada. One of my best childhood friends is Ahmadiya (whose parents are Pakistani immigrants, like mine). The US should encourage more of them to come here. We can save them from persecution and Ahmaidyas are pro-American because they appreciate what the US saved them from. Most Sunnis in America are hostile to the US--although none of them ever move back to Pakistan or their hero Saudi Arabia...

However, there is a law which Ahmadis cannot do anything about. Majority people have their mind set on considering them non-muslims.

We have a group like Ahmadis in America. The Nation of Islam is like them as well but since Islam is a minority religon (0.5-2% of the US) the better comparison is Mormons, a Christian sect. Mormonism is, like Ahmadiyism, a new indigenous sect that differs with mainline Christian sects on some key theological matters. They were persecuted in the past but things have changed. While many Christians view them as heretics, no one is calling on them to be persecuted or killed today. In fact, a Mormon nearly won the Republican nomination for president last year and is considered the front-runner for the Republican nomination in 2012. This is the model Muslims can follow. You do not have to accept the theology if Ahmadiyas but treat them equally as individuals. The larger question is the attitude toward non-Muslims in Pakistan. If there were not widespread bigotry toward religious minorities there would be no significance to classifying them as non-Muslims.

Many places are against hippies and the treatment of these hippies is not good in those countries for example.

You can't compare religious discrimination to that. How many hippies even exist these days?

Yet Pakistanis always cry about persecution at the hands of the "kuffar"
[/QUOTE]

Even while tripping over themselves to run to "kuffar" countries. If you or I showed up in Lahore and Karachi, walked up to some middle aged people and told them we are from America and looking for rishtas 90% of them would be kissing our feet hoping to send their daughter to America!
