I think it probably is an effect of the hairs under the skin that haven’t surfaced yet. When you continually wax/thread/pluck you are ‘resetting’ the hair growth and forcing everything back to anagen phase, so you have a lot of growing hairs under the skin.

mm are you saying cupcake here has a 5 O clock shadow going?
