Green Tea

I have 67kg weight, am 25 years of age and 5 feet 3 inch height. With regular food 3 times a day( Each meal 300 - 400 calorie), but no junk or excess calorie food i have green tea twice a day. I am unable to leave any meal or feel satisfied with any thing other than roti or rice.

So i wanted to ask, will 2-3 cups of lemon green tea reduce weight if i keep my meals there?

Re: Green Tea

can you elaborate more than this..
how many roti's per meal and how much curry? you can keep your meals there but add little exercise which can be done at home with ease.
the reason i am asking about your meals is coz i doubt that you are eating 1100-1200 calories.

Re: Green Tea

Breakfast - Mostly a juice or Milk+Roohafza or shami kabab
Brunch time - Green tea or black tea
Lunch **- 1 - 1.5Roti + any home made salan (Chicken, Koftay, bhindi etc.)
OR
1 plate rice (biryani or vegetable rice etc.)
**Evening
- Green tea or black tea or nestle juice
Dinner - 1 - 1.5Roti + any home made salan (Chicken, Koftay, bhindi etc.)
OR
1 plate rice (biryani or vegetable rice etc.)
and any fruit

God bless u Daffy Duck, This brings alot of good memories. My brother used to love this combination. He wouldn't go near milk otherwise. Thats why we used to have Roohafza/Jamesherin bottle even in winters.

2-3 rotis a day are too much...if u want to reduce weight, reduce ur diet too...

Re: Green Tea

well,,,,,, about your diet..
breakfast about 250 calories
lunch considering the cooking oil in the salan (which varies dishes to dishes) i would say you eat around 600 give or take.
same goes for dinner....plus fruit.. mid size apple has 120 cal.
thats about 1550/+- calories which are very good but you dont eat protein. only protein coming from milk and roti which are not primary source of protein.
eat salan in moderation, dont go overboard when there is something nice like kareelay gosht, or karahi gosht or keema karelay :D, and if you can add couple of egg whites (no yolks) in your meals.
STOP taking nestle beverages (except for water) all together, they say its healthy and blah blah but its not, its pure 30g of processed carbohydrates, its better to eat 1/4 of tarboooz (water melon) instead. I am not saying you should eat, i am saying its better.
Add 3x/week exercise. Jump rope, squats, lunges, crunches, situps pushups, and dont hesitate to eat out with family. have ice cream, pizza, cake occasionally.

that actually depends on roti, i have seen roti ranging from 50grams to 200grams .

Re: Green Tea

you will not lose any weight by drinking lemon green tea without making changes to your lifestyle. u should try and do some exercise everyday aswell as reducing the amount of carbs u eat. try not to eat roti/rice after 7pm because that's when ur body starts slowing down and carbs effectively turn into fat.

Re: Green Tea

ab kya fark parta hai..shadi ke baad konsi larki patli rehti heh?

Consumption of green tea slightly increases metabolism, which in turn burns calories. As far as I know, drinking 5 cups of green tea in a day burns as much calories as a 5 mintute jog (which isn't a lot actually). I have been drinking 1-1.5 litres of green/black/herbal tea daily for the past one year, and I've definitely seen changes in weight. Also, if you drink it on an empty stomach, it prevents you from getting hungry. I'd recommend consulting your doctor as well prior to consuming it in larger quantities. From what I know, it also slightly reduces estrogen levels in women, increases androgen levels in men (though I've experienced no change), and if consumed occasionally (but not daily), it reduces the red blood cell count.
I don't know how lemon helps, but for best results, use loose-leaf teas only.

Re: Green Tea

i find that green tea makes me more hungry As COMPARED TO if i dont drink it..
