World has now diverted its attention on green tea. Drink green tea for strong teeth Updated at: 1020 PST, Thursday, April 22, 2010
TOKYO: A cup of green tea a day may keep the dentist away. That`s the conclusion of a new study published in Preventive Medicine.
Green tea contains antimicrobial molecules called catechins that may promote dental health, researchers claim.
“Green tea may have bactericidal effects, which would affect teeth, but only if you drink it without sugar,” said Alfredo Morabia, of Columbia University in New York and editor of Preventive Medicine, who wrote an editorial accompanying the new research.

Have you ever tried green tea...I think its nasty!! I must be allergic to "healthy stuff"
I've heard that green tea is an acquired taste. I've developed a taste for it. I buy gunpowder green tea, from a tea shop. Gundpowder tea is basically tea leaves that have been rolled in pellets to ensure freshness. You brew it for 3-5 minutes. If you brew for too long, it may even taste bitter. I mix about a teaspoon of wildflower honey in it. Since I don't find the taste of green tea overwhelming....it makes it easier for me to incorporate it in my daily diet.
It could be that you're brewing it for too long or maybe not enough. It may even be the quality of the tea. You can even try the Lipton flavored varieties in green tea. They come in fruity flavors that mask the taste of green tea and you may find that more enjoyable.
I find FISH to be more of an acquired taste because I think it has a strong smell/flavor that I've never been able to develop a taste for.
I also use gunpowder green tea . It’s in the form of tea leaves as RV said. I make 3 cups with a a half teaspoon of green tea . I also never liked green tea but it takes time to develop it’s taste.
...Yes, think it definately is an aquired taste, but the health benefits are just amazing..it also lowers the risks of getting cancer/heart disease and various other illnesses.....
well disgusting and nasty are strong words. may be the original green tea is a little tasteless, but after i tried it in "Lemon" and "Mint" flavor.. wow it actually tastes very good. i used to drink atleast 3/4 cups daily. Now i have switched to Coffee for morning and pre-workout. so now i am drinking 1 may be 2 cups green tea a day..
