ok ,so here’s the thing. We are suppose to do a project and it’s about convincing people to do something and decrease the emmisn of green house gas, now one can invent something or improve something that already exist, for example the process of burning fuels etc.
so, do u guys have any ideas around this, how can we do something locally, so that the world dont keep getting warmer.

i'm not very gassy...thus i contribute very little towards green-house-gas-problem.

This topic has been beaten to death in the media and in the scientific community. So you should not have a lot of problem finding material for it. The best way to convince people to reduce green house gas emissions is showing them its harmful effects. Use pictures of places devastated by storms. That always works :) (Even though it might not be directly related). Plus you can use statistical results. For example the increase in frequency of storms. The amount of green house emission per person etc. Use interesting facts. I know there is a popular one about Boeing 747 burning 600 litres or tons (cant remember) of fuel only during taxi. Another interesting one is spilling 15 bottles of water when you keep the tap water running while brushing your teeth. These are the ones I can think of, of the top of my head. But I know there are plenty more..
Solutions on an individual level can be car pooling, domestic water heating, planting trees, investing in efficient boiler systems (once again use total cost reduction and pay back time examples). Another popular one is turning of home appliances and not leaving them on standby. There are very good figures available on the internet to as how much energy is saved by doing this.
There is renewable energy but that is high capital cost and difficult on an individual level. But people can look into buying electricity generated from renewable sources. Also the governments gives financial initiatives via grants to people interesed in installing renewable energy.
If you are looking to be controversial then ask them to turn their Christmas lights off!!
