Green hair

Re: Green hair

they have particular shampoos for particular dyes

does it bleed with those shampoos too?

Re: Green hair

Do you bleach your hair before applying the color?

Ess Emm, No, I didn't. That's why you only saw it in sunlight. I was afraid to damage my hair. The more you use these chemicals on your hair, the more chance to damage it. If you want to bleach first, then it's better to wait 1-2 days before applying the colour, so your hair gets some 'rest' in between. I do know people who bleach and colour their hair in one evening though.

Perhaps someone on this board can explain if that's allright too.

Re: Green hair

Update on bleaching your hair:

For anyone interested, yesterday I asked the hair dresser who coloured the hair of my daughter, which btw has turned out to be lovelier than I had thought, about bleaching your hair.

He said that it depends on your hair. He bleached the hair of Sidra, my daughter, without trouble, because she has thick, short hair. It's less vulnerable than longer hair, especially long thin hair is something one should be very careful with. Thanks to her thick short hair, he bleached and coloured the hair of Sidra in the same evening. The hair dresser said that her hair could even handle a third colouring without being damaged.

What also helps when you bleach is using a bleaching product which isn't too strong, you do wait longer for it to work in that case, it won't have the same effect of a stronger product, but it will get the job done, bleach your hair enough to be coloured and the chance of damaging it will be less. It's what he used on Sidra's hair to be sure.

Re: Green hair

Green hair? Where's PCG when you need her?

Re: Green hair

Your daughter's hair sounds really unique and eye catching!

I bleach my roots once a month down to platinum.. I use Jerome Russell now and find it quick and easy (less than an hour for me).. I deep condition it often and take Biotin (which REALLY helps keep it strong and thick)..

Has anyone noticed that sadiha was born in 77 and she has a 17 years old daughter already. Aray kya maan baap ne bachpan main shadi ker dee thi aap kee :(

Re: Green hair

Yes, I was married off at 18 and I was about 20 when I first became a mother. And it all did feel too soon for me. It's different for everyone, I suppose.

Whatever happened back then, right now, in 2014, my children and I are enjoying life and do fun things, such as trying any colour we wish. :)

Re: Green hair

tu iss mein surprise honay kia baat hai... my friend was married at 17. so wat :p @TLK

Re: Green hair

^
So was my cousin in Pakistan, she was 18 when she had her first baby. It was too soon for her too.

Re: Green hair

it was kind of temporary hair colour and only worked for a few hours. showed dark blue coloured and could be rubbed off with a towel very easily.

i wanted blue dye for my cousins wedding . so i thought of other solutions like hair mascara. it only worked at the mehndi and my hair were the same next day.

you are right colour without bleach shows different shades in the sunlight and looks good.

hope your daughter gets a good colour shade as she wishes.

good luck

Re: Green hair

Thanks. It looks great. Her hair did get a bleach and is very dark green now. The colour looks different when she is outside or in dimmed light or sun light, it gives a different shade everytime, sometimes it's as if her hair isn't coloured. The hair dresser said that after she washes her hair, the colour will be different again en will probably become even darker en better.

Re: Green hair

i dont like this bold fashion.

Re: Green hair

I didn't see it as bold, actually, but we all have our own opinions. :)

My daughter dresses in a normal way. Her behaviour is always polite, she doesn't provoke other people, she doesn't bother other people, she doesn't start fights, her homework is always finished on time, she doesn't talk back to me in an inappropiate manner, nor towards her teachers, if she has to say something, she will say it, but still in a polite manner.

Her shade of dark green to me, is just another normal hair colour, such as red (wether you use mehndi or not). In her case, sometimes, you don't even notice it's coloured, depending on the light fall.

Anyway, I understand it doesn't please everyone. We all have different tastes.

Re: Green hair

That's awesome! What shade of green did she end up going with?

And thanks for the bleach advice. When I dyed my hair I had it done with a professional, and had it bleached, because I wanted the purple to show up. But the bleaching took forever, and was very tedious for me and him (the hair dresser I mean, bless him. He really took ages to get it right). So I was wondering if I could just order a Manic Panic tub and get away with it without bleaching my hair.

Re: Green hair

I'm not sure how to describe it, I don't know it's name, but sometimes it's almost black. In sunlight however, it's very darkgreen, on the edge of turning blue.

I have not idea if Manic Panic would help. Perhaps people on YouTube could help, there are many vids there about colouring your hair. Or you could as a hairdresser. I'm lost without hairdressers when it comes to professional colouring. When I coloured my own hair, many many years ago, I failed the first time, but it still turned out all right, you didn't see it was a failure, I suddenly had 3-4 different colours!

I'd try YouTubing, Googling and asking hair dressers about these products. Good luck. :)
