Damn...They'll keep asking for things if her mother will send her every thing she ask....
Since I live with my husband in my house....I have said to my mom and husband that he has to provide me everything.....I don't want anything ANYMORE from my mom!!
When my parents were furnituring my home my husband said a few times things like...jab hum behen ko jahaiz denge duniya dekhe gi....apni ami se yeh bhi lena...oes bedroom ek faltoe almari honi chahiye....etc etc...I was so angry.....I said to him...you guys can't give 6 daughters as much I got from my parents.....He knows it...car..house.....I also said that you guys give only furniture and things for the kitchen....BUT I'm the one who is doing everything for you..instead of giving me financial support you are saying stupid things?? Damn...Since that time he knows that he should not open his mouth!!

But last week he suddenly said...iksa your mom is in pk...you should ask her to bring this and that...I said my moms job is done now...if I need anything I will ask my saas to send me from PK!!
HAHAHAH And yeh he said it to her..hahahaha

So it all depends on the girl

Honestly, it makes me sick how Muslim men can totally forget about their Islamic duty of providing for their wive's accomodation etc.

Do I even need to answer that? The whole point was to tell my fellow guppans not to go into a marriage just because you LIKE someone. It’s always a good thing to observe other things that will make a difference. It helps if people listen to their parents as their judgment tends to be better compared to ours, they have a lot of experience of life.

P.S. I am pwetty sure u read other threads in life 1. Do you honestly think people make them up?

If we were to run into this friend, by some strange miracle, would we know with 100% certainty that she is MKD’s friend? No, we wouldn’t. If “backbiting” is your issue, then wouldn’t ALL the threads in the Life and Relationships forum be considered as “backbiting” then? And if one is going to deem the creators of these problem-ridden threads as morally wrong, then shouldn’t the ones who visit and READ the threads also be deemed guilty? Because listening or reading would be just as wrong wouldn’t it? If we’re going to start admonishing for such things, then where should we draw the line? In that case, you could pose the question “what’s the need to talk about your husband, parents, friend?” about every other thread in this forum.

She posted simply to get perspectives and to provide food for thought.

I think the girls parents need to be sat down and told to STOP right now. How long are they going to keep supporting this never ending wish list??

The girl needs to get a grip, what the hell is she doing keep asking her parents for things???

Once the money stops coming in, they will have no choice but to live by thier means.

Im sorry i can’t get over how the girl is allowing her parents to be used in this way.
