Greeces Metka wins 110 mln eur power plant project in Pakistan
Greek engineering company Metka said that it had won a 110 mln eur project in Pakistan to build a 220 MW natural gas fired power plant. The company said that it will cooperate with General Electric and Slovakia’s Istroenergo group on the project. Metka added that the project will be completed by the end of 2008. A broker said that this was a positive development for Metka, as it represents its first successful inroad outside Greece, and that Pakistan is a promising market where more than 15 GW of capacity should be added in the next 10 years.
