come Zardari, ok dont mover you money, why cant you lend your own money to Pakistan on good interest rate, ...!
Let's not trivialize this discussion. Pakistan needs $15-20 billions IN CASH right away. Zardari's total holdings including real estate, bonds, stocks etc. may not be 5% of this amount. Considering the low values of stocks and real estate these days both Zardari and Nawaz sharif have little overseas savings. Sure they may sound BIG if you convert their "paper value" in dollars into rupees, but their wealth is PUNY compared to the need of this hour.
The only way Pakistan can get out of this is to plan long term to earn dollars and Euros as a nation. Sure the expats send home money, but the Pakistanis in Pakistan must earn dollars by copying China, S. Korea and India. These Asian tigers serve the West day and night. And Pakistan has to do the same. There is no free lunch. No Saudi or Chinee can simply hand over the cash.
Go back and look at our history. Our economy was good when we whole heartedly served the West during Ayub (8 years), Zia (10 years), Nawaz (2 years), and then Musharraf's 6 years.
Right now we as a nation and not just our army must help out the West in Afghanistan and in the Middle East. Then only then the doors to dollars and Euros will open.
Think realistically that Pakistan needs $20 billion in next 1 year. But that is not the end. We'll need $20-50 billions every year after that. How do think Saudi or any other country can aid us even if they wanted to.
So chanda think about working hard, and working long hours for the coming decades if you want Pakistan to avoid the fate like Somalia or Afghanistan.
