See we have discussed this before. I never blame the "tail-end" i.e. bowlers when they dont bat. But times have changed. We've seen how Australian tail stands for long partnerships. Here also SL made it happen. A miracle victory I must say. Well done!

In these couple of matches, I think I've copped six or seven blows to the head. In these tracks, if you're not willing to wear balls on the body, you might as well not be batting. I don't know how many times I got hit - honestly I've lost count.
Is it really explainable .... wat is going on in this series. SL bundled at 150 giving a lead of 50+ to SA now needing only 100 some runs to win second test going to white wash SA in 2 test series....
This when SL is considered going through worst patch. Useless domestic. Full of politics . Injured seniors. Sacked captain n wat not...
still going to do wat no other is able to do in recent times.

i have been watching cricket for 30 years and never saw anything like this. SL has done a total miracle. even current mighty indian team lost against this SA team few months ago
this is what determination and passion can do. look at what a weak WI did to mighty england. completely destroyed them in test matches few weeks ago.
and look at Pakistani team. shameless performance against the exact same SA team few weeks ago losing all 3 test matches pretty much within 3 days. didnt even put a fight. sad but we are now worst of the worst when it comes to test cricket. this Pakistani team has pretty much lost every test series even on their home ground (UAE). lost test series to SL in UAE, then lost to NZ in UAE.
our domestic cricket is almost finished . there is nothing on bench either. Poor Imran who is trying so hard to save Pakistan on so many fronts is now working diligently to save our cricket as well. he is changing the first class structure, and may be it will improve the stuff otherwise I am afraid to say our test cricket is finished for a very long time as our problems are not cyclical but secular. our first class cricket has fundamental structural issues.
But this SL team won this series with out any good infra structure. Infact India having better than many cud not do such performance. This seems shear brilliance of a couple of players that happens once a while. Same bunch will not be able to do it consistently. That apart , this series victory is I belevie greatest of this decade . Much bigger than what WI did to English...
