Great Expectations

Is anyone watching it?

BBC One.

I’ve just caught up on the first episode via iPlayer and have managed to miss episode 2…shall have to iPlayer that in a couple of hours.

Gillian Anderson is a nittle creepy as Miss Havisham but quite good too.

The book took me a while to get into, but being able to visualise grown up Pip…OMG I loves him. He is LUSH!

Re: Great Expectations

Haha Im watching it now. Grown up Pip is so pretty, he has lovely lips :)

Re: Great Expectations

Forget his lips, his face, his jawline, his cheekbones. Uff #inlove.

Re: Great Expectations

Ye, he looks every inch the model that he is.
Pity he's only like, 18 years old.

Re: Great Expectations

Oh hush! There is nowt wrong with 18 year olds that look like him and are named Pip!

Re: Great Expectations

ew

Re: Great Expectations

You can shush up an' all! I loves him and im going to marries him once he is a gentleman of great expectations!

Re: Great Expectations

Never read the book, so finding the storyline a bit odd but compelling all the same.

Re: Great Expectations

Omg its so good!

Loving a bit of Pip.

I was a sucker was the picnic almost kiss.

Re: Great Expectations

Read it Uzzy!! It is a bit tricky to get into at the beginning, it took me over a year to read and I usually finish a book within 3 days, but it is worth it in the end.

Re: Great Expectations

I do like Dahl's Chickens, he is cool :)

Re: Great Expectations

The end part was really interesting. All the twist and turns to how the characters were connected.

Maybe in the summer hols! I don’t really like reading old fashioned style English tho. I got half way through Sense and Sensibility and couldn’t go on!

Re: Great Expectations

Part 3 was definately the best! Miss Havisham's death was actually quite traumatic. :/

Re: Great Expectations

I never could get behind the characters in the book, so this may be one of those rare instances where I'd like the televised version better.

Re: Great Expectations

I remember we studied this play in GCSE English , loved it esp the gothic enviornment so wana watch it now.
