I hate washing my hair everyday, i know its not good for your hair, but I literally can’t help it…If I wash and blowdry my hair one day, there is no way that I can again leave it down the next day without washing it…overnight it gets oily and superflat, and leaving me no choice but to tie my hair…its soo annoying…
is there any thing that you guys recommed to keeping my hair non-oily without washing it for a couple of days?

I have exactly the same problem and it drives me crazy!
I've tried everything from not washing it for a couple of days at a time, changing shampoos, everything...I still haven't found any product which will make my hair stay non-greasy for at least 2 whole days..
And yeahh Tresemme dry shampoo is quite good...I recently purchased it and it worked for me..
Bur idk why I don't like the 'feel' of dry shampoo in my hair, it makes me feel as if its unclean lol

You need to get out of the routine of washing it everyday to rebalance the oil production and use shampoos that aren't too drying.
My regular shampoo is quite thick (and expensive) and a few months ago, I came across the tip to use it diluted. So I have been doing that and have noticed less hair fall in the shower, so I think it's kinder to the scalp.

Believe it or not,when I start oiling my hair evrey few days before washing it, my hair stops producing the extra oil. I can now go every other day without washing it. Also, don't put any product in your hair e.g mouse etc. while blowdrying it. I have also heard of Sauve Dry Shampoo. It's just $3 or so at drugstores.

I use a clarifying shampoo. I think that fine/thin hair tends to get greasy faster because since there is less hair to absorb the natural oils secreted by the scalp.
Brushing your hair also produces oils.......and excessive brushing makes the problem worse. So, apart from using a clarifying shampoo...I also don't unnecessarily brush my hair.

What kind of shampoo are you using? do you use a clarifying/volumizing one? b/c if u use one that’s moisturizing or better yet–if it looks creamy/pearly, then it will make ur hair really flat..
Really???I tried it and I hated it, didn’t look great at all! maybe i should try it again?

Pantene flat to volume or Paul Mitchell extra body shampoo, I find they both do the same for my hair. Just stay away from shampoo's that have conditioners added or any super moisturizing shampoo and you'll be fine. Also, make sure you're using enough shampoo and you massage your scalp with it for a minute or two, an oily scalp needs extra cleaning.
Another trick you can do to have more volume is after washing your hair with a volumizing shampoo, brush it get all the tangles out, and then blow dry your hair upside down until it's dry using a round brush. (This ofcourse is only when you're going to be straightening your hair). When you put your head back up, it's going to look like something exploded in your hair :D but brush it down and you'll notice hair looks much more voluminous! :)

I thought tresemme's dry shampoo sucked, it kind of glued all my hair together in a weird way, i've heard there are better dry shampoos out there. But I took stoppits advice, if I have to wash my hair I dilute my shampoo with water and then wash just my bangs (coz they're the greasiest) and this has worked for me.

I'm not a big fan of dry shampoo, it always makes my hair stringy :( I usually just shampoo the top half of my head in the sink focusing on my fringe, I think that makes a huuuuuge difference!

I've heard NOT to use the volumizing shampoos they are bad for your hair?
also I use nioxin step 1 shampoo and conditioner, is that clarifying?

^NO, that's your problem, it is not clarifying. Stay away from shampoo AND conditioners! Use conditioner only on the ends where you need it. And i've never heard such a thing about volumizing shampoos.

Try this trick: Put a tiny amount of baby talcum powder like Johnsons & Johnsons in your palms and rub your palms together. Toss your hair upside down and just rub through the roots very lightly. Toss your hair up and set with an afro comb.
