Graves of Some Prophets (very long graves)

Mazar of Hazrat Nooh (Noah) in Baqa’a Valley in Lebanon.
Some other scholars say that the Mazar of Hazrat Nooh can be in Jordan OR Lebanon OR Iraq. Allah knows the best.

The Mazar of Hazrat Salih (peace be upon him) is said to be located in Mada’in Salih, in Hijaz, or in the Hadhramawt. According to the local people in the Hadhramawt, Salih was the father of the prophet Hud, corresponding to the biblical Shelah father of Eber. Both Hud and Salih are said to have been giants, thus accounting for the extraordinary length of their tombs. According some scholars this is the Mazar of Hazrat Salih at Hasik.

Mazar Hazrat Yusha’ bin Noon (Joshua b. Nun) (Peace be upon him) in the town of Zayy near the city of al-Salt in Jordan. The tomb itself is roughly 10 meters in length. Some scholars and travelers claim that this is actually the Mazar of the prophet Hosea [Ar. Hoshu’a] (Peace be upon him). Hazrat Prophet Joshua (Peace be upon him) is not mentioned by name in the Quran but Muslim scholars say that he is the “companion” of Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) mentioned in the holy Qur’an (18:60-65) and he became prophet after Hazrat Musa (Peace be upon him). Scholars on the narratives in the Quran referring to the Israelites’ conquest of the Holy Land detail the stories associated with Joshua b. Nun. Ibn Kathir reports that Joshua was a great warrior and lived for 127 years.

The** Mazar of Hazrat Imran** is located in downtown Salalah in the Dhofar region of western Oman. Some believe that Hazrat Imran was a local Arab prophet, and others believe that the name is a reference to the father of Mary mother of Jesus (Peace be upon him) mention in the Quran, or the father of Hazrat Musa (Peace be upon him) mentioned in the Bible.

The Qabr-e-Anwar of Hazrat Yaqub (Jacob) (Peace be upon him) in Palestine.

(P.B.U.T)

Those graves are pretty long…People used to be reallll tall back then :hmmm:

Thankx a bunch for sharinggggg

Re: Graves of Some Prophets (very long graves)

i once saw a very long grave of one buzargh too...cant remember his name....people were very long back in those days.

Re: Graves of Some Prophets (very long graves)

I dont know about that...islamically graves aren't supposed to be raised.

Plus they're too long, wheres the width? this looks like several people laid out in head to toe format, I mean if they were giants, the graves should be proportionately wider too.

just my 2cents

Re: Graves of Some Prophets (very long graves)

^ I agree. Somehow it just doesn't buy me. I know people were tall but I don't think they were SKINNY TALL.

Re: Graves of Some Prophets (very long graves)

Moenjo daro is atleast 5000 years old. All the doorways are about 6 feet tall. All the mummies of pheros are under 6 feet and that time was close to Musa's time, thus the grave of Hazrat Imran (father of Musa) cannot be that tall

Re: Graves of Some Prophets (very long graves)

WOW.... never ever seen anything like that before...... WOW.

Re: Graves of Some Prophets (very long graves)

I've been told that it isnt true.. they are only some "Ijtamaayi Qabrein" ..
Allah knows better..

Re: Graves of Some Prophets (very long graves)

I agree :k:. People back then were tall and used to live longer than just 80 or 90 or 100 years. Like Crescent & shiki said, I don’t think they were tall and skinny.

Either way, even if these ARE the real graves (WaAllah ho Alam), they do not serve us any purpose and will not save us. Our job is to follow the Quran & Sunnah, do what Allah and His Messenger commanded us to, and stay away from that which they prohibited!

Re: Graves of Some Prophets (very long graves)

According to Sahih Muslim, Adam (a.s) were 90ft tall, and the stature of humans have been decreasing since then.

Re: Graves of Some Prophets (very long graves)

It is our duty to read durood and salaam on all the messengers of Allah. Grave worshiping is a big no no, but remembering them in our prayers will only benefit us, as it increases our sawaab.

May peace be upon all of the messengers of Allah. Allah O’ Akbar.

Back to topic, only Allah knows the reality. So can’t say anything about any ziyaraat that are thousands of year old. But Cre/Shik raised a valid question, width is not in line with the length.

Two things possible, either the signs of having a grave of a prophet has been transfered generation to generation and people just guessed the length and covered the possible area. Or, some jaahil people wanted to make money and started it as business. You know in interior sindh and punjab, it is very common.

Re: Graves of Some Prophets (very long graves)

^ Yaar no one is talking about sending salam on Ahmed (S.A.W) and/or other prophets. If I am not wrong, there is even an ayah in Quran where Allah says that send salam on Muhammad (S.A.W). My point is simple: Without debating about the aunthenticity of these pictures, what purpose does it serve? Are we going to be asked about these things or will it help us be successful in the hereafter?

Re: Graves of Some Prophets (very long graves)

Infra-red scanning over the graves could show if they bones underneath really are as long.
