in canada we get Sega GT 2002 and Jet Set Radio Future...they are full version. for 299..or 199 for u american guppies...and they are sega games, so its definately more than 20bucks for em to mass produce each game.

Sorry to contradict you... again... but we have the same deal here. It just shows you the two games seperatly with their original boxes in ads etc. but in actuality u only get one disc, u would have known if u had actually bought the thing.
They are not doing that bad, it takes time to come into a totally new market, hardcore PS2 gamers are hard to convert, but whoever sees both for the first time, always prefers the box. And in the new online gaming frontier, xBox is bound to come out as a winner. Wired gave it's Live! service 5 points, vs. 3 for the PS2... :)

nope...im talking about compucenter. they give 2 cds..and the xbox console. i know caus my friend got one..they do this caus they dont have that package above, and for competitions sake they threw in the shelf games in. alot of other stores also do that.

If it is, then i would like add that i've heard that grand theft auto 4 isn't much of a difference from gta 3 graphic wise but the gameplay has been improved and graphics have been added to places that required it, not been improved.

Actually, that gimik for Xbox has been getting them good business.
Infact at the Walmart I work at, we've been selling more Xbox's ever since that promotional thing came out for them. Hehe, now PS2 had to lower their price by $10.
Not to say the least, Playstation left a very good mark on the gaming word, thus Playstation 2 is suceeding really well.
Where as, Xbox is out with their very first model, so it will take time.

I dont know about GTA3, but GTA4 was awesome!!! Graphics, controls, fun factor, storyline, new features, everything was visible!! The only sad thing is, if you dont have much time, you are in for a dissapointment, as the cheats to this game right are such that they can only get you health, armor, slow motion etc, but they wont let you skip missions, and some missions are extremely difficult.
Since I am to cheap to buy the game for 50 bucks, I went to out to the local block buster to rent it with my free coupon, and tonite I finally got around to play the game.
Storylines and the acting is alot better than the previous GTA but everything else is preety much the same.
Though I have finished only couple of levels so I maybe wrong.
Overall a good game, not as good as I expected but good enough to keep someone entertained.

Well, from what I can judge from your analysis is that GTA3 was a great game as well, and you played GTA4 and there wasnt too much of a difference, but to a person like me who has not played GTA3, this game was something spectacular. I mean how often do you get a chance to clothesline a pedestrian while running around on a road. Umair, wait till you get to the level where you have to fly that helicopter, heh!
try some cheats man!
Try using the flame thrower
or use the tank, as soon as you use the tank, you go into vigalante mode and the swat team and helicopters start attacking you...

I'm talking about the level where you control the small helicopter to set bombs, they are pain the butt. The controls for that level are so annoying.
