Graduation outfit

I have my grad ceremony soon & would really love some ideas of what to wear. Criteria is something smart, so any ideas of an outft in which I would be completely covered plus would look nice with a hijab. Also, it is recommended we have some sort of button on the top to pin our hood.

I really don’t want to wear just trousers & a shirt! So please may I have some ideas of what would look nice & where to shop in the uk?

Wear something like a nice pleated maxi skirt maybe? I word a gold shirt (sounds less uglier than it sounds, it was just a subtle shimmery gold!) with chocolate brown which went quite well!
Also, do you not have to wear a gown? So wouldn't trousers be a little more ideal to walk in?

Yes, we will be wearing gowns, so would trousers be better? I don't want to trip!

hmmm, I really like the pleated skirts from that thread too. I just don't have much time to fit in shopping so was hoping to know what I want before I go :)

Oh actually..i should have updated on the other post BUT when i went to look for maxi skirts i couldn't find ANY! no one had any in stock BUT i did find one in topshop although it was a VERY THICK black maxi skirt..not pleated and flowy at all.. I'd say the best option is just to look around because sometimes you might not find the thing you originally went in for. The shops that i tried were Dorothy perkins/new look/primark (which actually has some nice formal blouses!)H&M has some really nice formal wear in at the moment. I last minute looked in miss selfridges/topshop which is where i found the skirt which i decided to wear with a flowy blouse. Didn't really like my outfit but there was nothing i could do :( Good luck and congrats on graduating!! It's an amazing experience! :)
