I ve got an undergrad in BBA from Schulich, but now I want to do graduate study in health and rehab sciences from Western university.(in Canada)
I need some help preparing for the personal statement - because these are two un-related fields. What shall I focus on more? I ve volunteered at the hospital and also worked for the health and rehab center on campus.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

People like stories.
Start with your aspirations as a youngster. maybe because of your background, or something. then tie that story into:
tell them what you gained out of your undergrad. how it made you feel. tie this story into:
tell them how you felt getting a graduate program will help you access those goals from your youngster years. tie this into:
what you plan to do with these degrees in the future.
basically the idea is to tell them a story. sell them a story. people like reading those. you will find that you may have more passion for what you want to do, when you start writing this. you may discover the true reasoning behind the connection between the two different degree programs.

i hope it helps. Some times uptight strategy can prove worthless, and you simply have to try non traditional methods of persuading. Plus I feel that kind of informal letters like these are now in fashion and accepted. Also google around and see what else is out there for you to build your own model.
