Grad school

I think it’s about time I started thinking about what’s gonna happen after I finish undergrad. I am considering doing a masters in education in Canada. I have no clue what kinds of things grad schools look for. Good grades in undergrad are obvious but what else? Is work experience a consideration, what if you don’t have any? What kinds of recommendations do I need? And how can I make the best impression?

Basically any tips would be appreciate. I’d also like a timeframe for applying and stuff like that. I will be graduating at the end of next year Inshallah. When I should write the necessary exams?

If you are applying for fall admission you need to start a year before that to get the best chances of getting in. You want to make sure that if your schools has deadlines, you apply by the very first one because thats where you will have the least competition. Most people apply way too late for the school admission dates.

Start thinking about it a year before you apply. Also a good recommendation can significantly overcome poor grades. so focus on building good rapport with your professors. There are lots of web sites out there with information and I would start with the school you are interested in.
