go for tomtom, it's response time is faster, and maps are more reliable.

nah TomTom is better. It largely depends upon your budget. Tomtom 920 is top of the range, a much simpler version is tomtom One V3. TomTom One XL is middle range model, with large screen like TomTom720.

Around $250, ideally with bluebooth if possible
I wonder why on Amazon the Garmins have way more reviews than TomTom

I found a bunch of TomToms here and the prices are pretty cheap, but dont think any have Bluetooth?

If you want to connect your phone with tomtom then go for 720 or 920 series. TomTom XL HAS bluetooth but it's only a data connection with your phone, to transfer updates and traffic alerts.

I personally prefer Garmin. if you gonna get Garmin nuvi 650 then I would recommend Garmin Nuvi 660. It has Bluetooth and its only $70 more thn nuvi650. this is the best deal i have seen at amazon for nuvi 660 ever since it launched.

Garmin or Tom Tom.One good thing about Tom Tom is that it refreshes the maps everyday.
