I have an interview on next monday and i kinda need help in preping for it.. so what should one know about GPRS technology.. kinda bold words that i should know and stuff here is the complete job description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Working with the GPRS Project Management team, the successful candidate will assist in the development of GPRS projects and internal tools. Daily activities will be centered around the current projects and managing the various aspects of the project reporting & communication lines. The student will engage in hands on project development work using GPRS Internal Project Management processes and tools.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Currently enrolled in Computer Science or Business at the senior level with the internship option
* Experience defining, building & managing software projects from end to end
* Knowledge and experience using MS Project
* SQL Server experience
* Strong HTML skills
* Proven ability to work with ODBC
* Knowledge of ASP
For starters, on the tech side, make sure you understand the differences between GPRS and WAP, and how GPRS has been a significant step towards 3G services.
Also it wouldn’t hurt to know the OSI/RM inside out!
Also read up on VoIP stuff, CDMA and TDMA protocols.
Make sure you use buzzwords like “always on” , “burst” packets etc.
Make sure you know what type of primary applications have generated GPRS traffic over the past few years… I suspect you’ll be asked about the application aspect of it, so better know the customers you’re catering for.
With those requirements I think they're just looking to develop some WML application. I don't think experience with that technology is needed. As UT said knowing the basics of that technology would go a long way. As long as you have the skills they are looking for I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. Just readup on that gsmworld site.

I have alot of web development experience using PHP, MySQL and recently i have developed the system for SMS Prayer Alerts (www.islamicsms.com) so have some idea of SMS technology and stuff.
I will surely read up on gsmworld site and lets see how it goes :)
