LAHORE: PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif has accused the government of running an “elected dictatorship” that is plotting to kill him.
Sharif told the British newspaper in an interview that Asif Ali Zardari, the president, was ruling under a cloak of democracy but his policies would only benefit extremist elements.
“I have recently received certain information from own sources, credible sources, about certain forces who are active against me,” Sharif said.
“Threats to my life come from high-ranking government officials, certain topmost people in the government, my sources say.” He declined to give further details.
“The risks are there. I can’t abandon my mission because of the risks. It’s a very noble cause. A mission to put the country back on the road to democracy,” he said.

The last time Nawaz Sharif felt his life endangered was when he was being tried for treason - he wept and was given a safe haven by a deal with teh dictator Musharaf - he left the country along with his family and 100 suit cases.. see what he does this time - the coward idiot..

BB did the same thing once she returned to Pakistan in 2007. She publically mentioned that she was likely to be assassinated, Her husband (supposedly) took the dvantage of her suspicion and and got rid of her.

We don't see Kalsoom being sidelined by NS The way ghaddari was sidelined. Neither she has been any famous for being Mrs. 10%. Therefore it's not a likely scenario but you never know.

I have suspected someone who himself is quite notorious for these kinds of deeds. Someoned who has fulfilled all his promises and written agreements. This is the same someone who has a long list of similar deeds the whole world knows about. Being mentally unfit as per expert psychologist under the oath yet denying that oath. But heis a saint for peee peee peee slaves. I can care less for NS.

Mr. zordari claims that he knows the killers...then why no FIR has been registered against them!!! besides the movements of Rahman malik (security chief of BB) were very suspicious on the day benazir was killed...the only person to benefit from all this affair was zardari...

Asif Ali Zardari is a sinister character and would goto great lengths. The PPP might not be a terrorist mafia like the MQM, but they know how to get rid of top leaders, for more information contact the Chaudhries of Gujrat, or Kasuri.

**Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani directed the authorities to provide fool-proof security to former prime minister and chief of his own faction of Pakistan Muslim League, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. **
According to the media, PM Gilani has directed Rehman Malik, his adviser on interior, and Governor Punjab Salman Taseer of taking all necessary measures to ensure fool-proof security for PML-N chief.
