We are a country of savages and barbarians. Hope is vanishing by the day.

I did not support Mr. Taseer's politics, but he was the Governor of a province and a citizen of Pakistan. No one deserves to die like this. This is not about Hurmat-e-Rasool (SAW) or anything pious. This is pure savagery.

A person who took a stance against the law, was killed by the bearded unibrow douchebag who said he killed said person because of his stance against the law. Im pretty sure the law has something to do with what happened today, regardless of what side of the argument you're on.

I hope this will force govt to undo blasphemy laws & crack down on religious nuts like they have done in Egypt. These people are barbarians & they are using religion to destroy the country. I hope his killer faces swift justice.

Blasphemy Law should be repealed because it is easy to abuse it to harass minorities.
Besides, Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) would dis-approve of this law.
After all, didn't he leave the old woman alone who would dump garbage on him regulary when he would walk by her home ?
One day when she missed her daily 'duty', he went inquiring after her health.

RIP Mr. Taaseer. He was no different than other politicians but killing like this one can only increase turmoil and panic in the country. How long will it take for us to learn that the political/religious or any other differences cannot be resolved by taking the other person's life. Unless its issued from the court of law.
Pakistan is facing back to back incidents and only anti-pakistan factors can benefit from that.. but the tragedy is, the people who do it are not from outside the country, they are among ourselves.
May God help Pakistan!!

we all Pakistanis should reliase that we are at war with Mullas in Pakistan. PPP should not be the only party to sacrifice for Pakistan. Our tv achnor like Hamid Mir, Talat and other killed BB and now this with their words. We are at war and we fully should support PPP goverment. PMLN is mulla party too. Pakistan has to be made Republic of Pakistan from Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Love Pakistan what ever your religion is. Sunni, Shia, Hindu, Sikh. love Pakistan

To hell with the blasphemy law...these mullahs and their supporters and the so called "namoos-e-risalat" have got to go. Of course Salman Taseer is Shaheed. If someone had killed him because of his corruption or personal enmity then I would not have called him Shaheed, but that is not the case. Salman Taseer was killed by Kharjee Jahanumees who regularly disgrace Islam and Prophet (SAW). These children of Shaitan became enemy of Salman Taseer because he raised his voice telling people that Prophet (SAW) was a great personality, personality who was Rahmat-ul-lil Alameen, and would never have approved such anti-Islamic blasphemy law that is used in Pakistan to persecute, punish and kill defenceless people in his (SAW) name and in the name of Islam (a religion from creator who is Rab-ul-lil Alameen). By his action, Salman Taseer was fighting a war for Islam against Kharjees and their mindset.

Pakistan blasphemy law completely negates Quran where Allah tells Muslims that ‘Allah has not made them to watch over doings of others (and that includes whatever they do or say)’ ... Plus, Allah tells Muslims that what people (Muslims and non-Muslims) do is Allah’s plan that is nothing to do with any individuals to judge or become responsible.

Further (in 6:108), Allah clarifies that he has made all his creations alluring what they believe/do and thus stopped Muslims to even revile (condemn) what others are worship or practice in the name of religion.

Quran 6:107-108
YUSUFALI: If it had been Allah's plan, they would not have taken false gods: but We made thee not one to watch over their doings, nor art thou set over them to dispose of their affairs.

YUSUFALI: Revile not ye those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest they out of spite revile Allah in their ignorance. Thus have We made alluring to each people its own doings. In the end will they return to their Lord, and We shall then tell them the truth of all that they did.
