You are wrong. It is nothing to do with being religious, secular, moderate, or liberal. What is happening in Pakistan is Jahalat (ignorance) and those who are doing all these atrocities are children of Shaitan doing their best to malign Islam, Prophet (SAW) and Pakistan. Here is what Quran says, blasphemy law, and actions of Kharjees in Pakistan:
Pakistan blasphemy law completely negates Quran where Allah tells Muslims that ‘Allah has not made them to watch over doings of others (and that includes whatever they do or say)’ … Plus, Allah tells Muslims that what people (Muslims and non-Muslims) do is Allah’s plan that is nothing to do with any individuals to judge or become responsible.
Further (in 6:108), Allah clarifies that he has made all his creations alluring what they believe/do and thus stopped Muslims to even revile (condemn) what others are worship or practice in the name of religion.
Quran 6:107-108
YUSUFALI: If it had been Allah’s plan, they would not have taken false gods: but We made thee not one to watch over their doings, nor art thou set over them to dispose of their affairs.
YUSUFALI: Revile not ye those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest they out of spite revile Allah in their ignorance. Thus have We made alluring to each people its own doings. In the end will they return to their Lord, and We shall then tell them the truth of all that they did.
