Who is saying that the jagirs seized from the feudal classes should be taken over by the government? I have nothing against private enterprise...I just think you can't have a functioning democracy when most of your rural population lives as virtual slaves. Distribute the land among those who farm it.
As for Bhutto...his concept of "socialism" was laughable. Nationalize the urban industries to stick it to the immigrant urban elite, but leave the massive estates of the "native Pakistani" feudals intact? That isn't socialism, that's a recipe for economic downfall and ethnic warfare.
