helo i m looking for reasonalbly priced gota work dress.i want one for my mehndi i hav the design in mind but i went to barkat ali saree in anarkali and liberty and they are qouting like 60 thousand to 1 lakh for a heavy dress.i thot gota work is the cheaper wen it comes to money those kaams r not even that special that the r so so just patti stiched and all.my mom thnks the best place for gota work is bahawalpur but i dnt wanna travel that far.can some1 guide me to some pace cheaper with better quality work thanks

No Kaam is cheap nowadays 
I ordered two gota dresses for my jahez . One was for 28k ( just the shirt) and the other was for 65k ( just the shirt).
Idk about Bahawalpur.. The gota work I’ve seen from there is very mota

ya u r right maybe no kaam is cheap specialy if the shop ppl get to know its going to be a wedding or mehndi dress they exploit the fact that ppl going to designers pay soo much so they shd up their rates too.they dnt understand that they r charging as much as designers he now a days

I am from Bahawalpur and I think in Bahawalpur you can get most beautiful gota work. You must have seen that mota kaam in local markets but if you know where to get the real work it won’t cost much. I myself am getting a Gota and mukesh heavy dress made and it is not going to cost more than 6000 Rs in any manner.

I plan on getting some outfits made from Bahawalpur as well since I’ve heard so much about their famous gota/embroidery work. I’d love to see the outfit you’re getting!

I cannot post the pics right now as they are being made. Its not on order on any shop I am getting them made by a lady who works in house. I got all the fabric, tracing and raw material on my own and am getting it made by the lady. I will post the pics when i will get the dress but it will take some time. I have pics of another Gota dress i have but I don’t know how to post pics in the thread.

helo guys my mom went to bahawalpur widout taking me along omg omg she was sooooo pleased wid everythng.she got me 3 4 gota shirts already made.we dnt ha time to give order and get dress made but she was all praise for the thngs she cd find there .def give it a try if u lie close by
