Got a Test, I m not ready for

I am called for an interview and I am not ready for it. There must be a test too (Ohh my God). The place is far away (Lhr–>khi) and I must spare at least 3 days for it including 26 hours train ride. Should I consider this chance or it is better to relax and enjoy instead of getting tired and abused. Pay-package is also unknown yet and it can be as low as living on streets of Khi.

so Can't they interview people over the phone? Are they paying for your trip?

Yes opportunities are too few these days, and as for IT they are tooooo few, but in this case even if I can spae time, travel and be selected, I might still have to leave on pay-negotiations. I also want to take this chance, just a bit confused.

Ohh no, I asked for online sort of interview, but they don't offer and I guess the trip is also self financed. They might be well looking for some one in Khi, but I also got considered.

It seems the company is not interested in getting people out of Karachi. Consider the following points:

Where I want to be 10 years from now? Does this job help me achieve that goal?
How is the company? You must find out!
How will it effect my career? In the near and far future.
What is the salary range for such a job in Lahore? For negotitation during interview.
Will the salary be enough for you to live in Karachi on your own?
Can this job become a spring-board for a better job? Important if you want to move on.

WD, thanks very much for your advice again. Your points helped me a lot in making my decission.

The Job was for software design and I can do it here with ease. I was not willing to relocate even if I could have got 2 times the current earnings. By asking friends in khi, I found out that I may even not get my current. The company was well-reputed but still it required relocation and 2-3 months of settelments.
