Got a Temper Issue?

The recompense for an injury is an injury equal thereto (in degree); but if a person forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah for (Allah) loves not those who do wrong. {Surah Ash-Shuraa 42: Verse 40}

This ayat teaches us that when we seek justice against someone who has wronged us, we are bound to a very specific quantity on how much we can get back. We can’t go overboard as that will be an act of injustice and Allah does not love those who are zalim.

But if we forgive & reconcile, we get so much reward that Allah s.w.t. doesn’t even put a quantity to it. Allah s.w.t. says that the reward is due from Him with no specific amount mentioned. So imagine the comparison between these 2 on how many blessings & favors are bestowed to the one who forgives & reconciles.

And verily, whosoever shows patience and forgives that would truly be from the things recommended by Allah.
{Surat Ash-Shuraa 42: Verse 43}
