Ecoshan, i'm not going to counter-argue the hadith u quoted. Politicians as well as showbiz personalities are all humans.. it's not right to have set rules..and make it ok to "bash" one and let the other pass.

People in Pak watch these people on tv..much more than they watch politicians.

Gina my argument wasnt that who ppl watch more on tv, i had an argument that jaisa character hoga waisey hi woh log country chalayen gai and i gave examples aswell.

let celebrties do watever they want to do in their life, its their personal life :), its their life, their very very own life, we should give them privacy and allow em to live the way they want to live if it doesn harm us, if any of their action harms us then we can do something about it.
i categorize is it as gheebat which is not allowed in islam atoll.

whole point is no one is perfect, celebrities are not, m not, even prophets did stuff that Allah didn like and sent Gabrial right away to address em :) -

Let me tell you what is not going to happen here. You may throw some attitude, attempt to flame me some underhanded tactics to call my post idiotic or call me things like I am trying to be a hero on a forum. I am not going to stop you from doing that but realize that while you may be able to get under some people's skin, I deal with such stuff on a daily basis, does not bother me

It liek when you play ball with the homies and they smacktalk just to get you off your game so even though their skills aint the shizzle, they get a dunk or two in. What the hood taight me is that you dont get into smacktalk, you use your game to make em into your..well..you know. anyway I digress homes.

What is not going to happen is that I am not going to lose my cool due to such antics, because that is the easy way out, flame someone, and an argument starts, the real questions get sidelined, mod patrol comes in and removes threads.

So do as you will, I am not going to go off my game.

Now lets talk about what is going to happen. I am going to hold you accountable for your words, and accountable for questions posed to you. Having a legal background helps significantly . You may not choose to answer them, as you already tried, but as you also saw, I will not let you just glide past them. If you don’t answer them, your silence infact is giving me answers as well.

Oh and btw, nothing personal, but I have taken out all that color because it was really hurting my eyes. Good god whats the fascination with purple..prince? barney? teletubbies, joker? (just wanted to bring in a little humor here :))

To you, yes, which does not make it a universal fact, nor a correct stance. Blogging, forums, places like secondlife are brimming with pseodonyms. Amazon.com or epinions is full of pseusdonyms giving advise on products. Imdb is full of pseudonyms critiquing movies and actors. So to YOU it may be dead but that is your issue not others. No worries though, we all learn new things every day. No shame in that.

Credibility however is shot when there is a lack of consistency.

Pics are pasted by Gina, take a peek. I will be waiting for you condemning obscenity. Secondly, do you not watch Pakistani TV shows? or music videos? or stage shows. Please let me know which statement is true

What you are also doing is confusing the issue by bringing in the topic of privileged information in the mix and saying that you don’t share it, well good for you. But what about when its not confidential information?

Now if the information is public, why is it none of your business? If you can lecture people here about what is proper and what is in line with Pakistani values, why is it giving you a coronary to condemn it. Now you can try to flame me by indirectly calling my post an idiotic onliner and trying to be a hero. When all else fails, flame. Sadly for you, I don’t fall for such gimmicks.

Regardless if you don’t start a campaign, then surely you cant have an issue with someone else saying that was very gher ikhlaqi, against our values, and uryaan. It’s a fact, based on truth, not some hearsay. You can not come down hard at someone if their critique is based on facts.

In my personal view these type of upstart two bit wanna bes that are so amusing, get into show business because the daddy, mommy or phuppar were in show biz whether they themselves have any talent or not, and then the day they step outside Pakistan, you see them in bikinis, hugging na mehrams, drunk as skunks making fools of thsmselves etc yet their ‘showbiz’ kin give lectures about values to pseudonyms on a website.

And if it is none of your bloody business then, then frankly its none of your bloody business to give ppl on gupshup lectures on values and morality either.

God speed… the truth finally comes out, you will only protect your showbiz people, even if what is written is true? Tell me why, are you afraid that if you actually say something rather than brown nosing that you will be sidelines by a-listers?

That really is not my idea of fun.

BTW- I will not be watching you on any show. I am allergic to crap TV and Pak TV disgusts me. i think ur a little confused as to what is being 'discussed' here, this exchange is based solely on how the celebrities conduct themselves in their 'personal' lives, thus comparisons btw politicians and celebrities and the the related pics and article posted on the last page. this would not have come to this, if professional work was being discussed.

I should not matter to you, and thats greast because it does not matter to me either, so atleast we agree on something. If you do have any deep discussion about the issues in our entertainment industry in any of these shows, please do pot them here. That would be interesting to hear/see.

Artiste can be disturbed about 'allegations' however in the case of the ladies in bikinis they are more than allegations, they are facts. but lets go beyond that.

The bigger issue is our entertainment industry. What is depcited in our Television amd Movies not being in line with the values, those are not allegations, that is a fact. They can be disturbed and whine about it, or they can do something to change it.

Reema cant be disturbed that K Khan on GS posted two of her links as examples of the cheap nature of our movies, if she wants to be disturbed about something is how she is objectified and made to do a pole dance and roll in mud, pull a guys shirt off etc.

But come on, you know as well as I, that is not something that your artistes would be disturbed about.

Tell them to get over it, they are public figures. Had they been in UK or USA they would have an entire paparazzi after them for every move they make. World class celebrities deal with that, why would our desi actors have an issue? They canthave it both ways..we want to be oh so hollywood (or indian charba) in our shows, but when it comes to our lives dont hound us like the hollywood or bollywood actors are hounded.

They can be distured about false allegations being levelled against them. sure. But why be disturbed about facts.The day reema's dances in the links above become a part of our supposed values, please do let me know.

Enjoy your school's golden jubilee. Those are indeed fun times. While my university is significantly older, my department/college celebrated its golden anniversary a few years ago. It was a very nice time to take a walk down memory lane as well as see how the institution grew over the years and its path to becoming a world class institution. Enjoy your day.

This only started after raju's post (post #34) where he made it about celebrities.

what is the issue with celebrities being critiqued on how they conduct themselves in their personal lives? they are public figures, they cant just have good publicity, thats the price of fame. if they do something wrong or what people think is wrong, then that will be publicized as well.

its really not personal. raju sahab made a claim here and in other places that people are spreading rumours, and he is fighting against it. obviosuly his tone has changed since then and his statement now is that he will protect his showbizz buddies from critique based on real actions as well. Basically tomorrow if you see a certain celebrity beat the crap out of his wife and you see it, and others do and you state it, he will still protect the wife abuser, or if some celebrity is rude and demeaning and acting like an oaf, he will still not stand for people critiquing them.

coming from someone who is giving lectures about what is proper values and how younger generation abroad has lost its values, it is a hypocritical stance. If values are some big personal mission then why focus on the statements of some random pseodonym on a forum, and turn a blind eye to the demonstration of 'values' by fellow showbiz people and the industry as a whole. for that there is no satisfactory answer. But that was expected. Iwanted to bring it out in the open. That is done for everyone to see.
