The point is that unless ALL citizens are treated equal, the privileged class will never move to resolve the issues faced by ‘common man’. How about fauji officers and bearucrats paying 25% of the market rent that could be obtained using that property?
Those living in GORs and Cantonments are immune from what citizens suffer and hence the indifference. These class differences, created by British, still exist today. Why should a Railways officer, for example, get a 8 kanal house in the heart of a major city while lower ranked employees struggle to get even a 8x10 foot room?
Why should doctors working in government hospitals or teachers teaching in government run school not get similar privileges?
