may be modern day india is wrong,concept of bharath was always there

funny thing other day we had some family yaga, priest started doing some sankrit mantras,he precisely started something like

“bhartha kandasya dakshina bharathasya”

he mentions in particular to people who are living downside of this river, people always had this concept of bharath

Yes I’m also confused about the statement that word and concept of India was given by British?
