Never seen that in Pakistani couples. Seen many drop dead gorgeous girls married to ugly guys thanks to “arranged marriage” scams but not the other way around. What’s up with that?

Yah mostly the women is the prettier one but i have seen it other way too :D I guess it all gotta do with the society n what appeals to it; women when pretty n men when he's earning well. That sorta thing i guess.

I mentioned this in another thread....in all matters relating to love, men are visual creatures. Women are emotional. So this makes much sense. Men need visually pleasing stimuli and theyre ready to go. Women need to feel emotionally attached, loved, cherished in order to get going. So yup, men are so much more likely to just go for looks while to women, looks are less important than how they are treated.

This situation has happened in my university. This amazingly handsome and tall dude married this ugly looking girl after only dating for like 1 2 months. We still think how this happened.

one of my friend is this case and here is the kicker, its love marriage and I was one of the facilitator :)
one of my mamu's case is like that too. He was so handsome in his days (he was compared with Delip Kumar in his circle of friends and relatives) and got married to mami (arranged) who was a pretty normal girl.

Ive seen it happen but its usually cases where the guy fell in love with the girl's other qualities and was attracted to her because of that.

Well,i believe,in arranged marriages,even if a guy may be ugly,still his mom especially shows so much nakhras while choosing a girl for him

my super cute guy cousin married an ok girl...and the girl wanted to marry a good-looking guy(what they said to his mom) i thought that was weird cuz she isn't anything special looks wise, and she is super boring to talk to on top of it. Anyhoo it was totally arrange, and the cousin's younger bro convinved him to ok the relationship. but yea ideally i wouldn't want to be in this situation b/c you know everybody's secretely thinking how did that girl marry That guy!
