yes, in my hometown, Allahabad which sees a very few gora people during the year but last year we had one of the BIGGEST Kumbh Melas in Allahabad, over 200 million people came over a period of two and months. i wonder how the city managed to see thousands of westerners and handled them.
these melas have the largest tent city in the world…more than what we have in Saudi Arabia during Hajj.
there are 4 cities in India which take turns in hosting this event, a religious pilgrimage to take a dip in the Holy river, Ganges. these four cities are Allahabad, Ujjain, Haridwar and Nasik
