At college I knew some kids who knew the Kaliphz. My cousins friend was from their hometown also, and knew them.
It's funny you mentioned Mark Morrison earlier since my cousin studied at Leicester at used to bump into him on the street.
Mark got into trouble for some stupid stuff, I think he pulled out a taser on an undercover policeman, or something.
It's a small world I suppose.
BTW-Foreign Policy were a GREAT American group who debuted a few years back, with Reef Ali-a Muslim rapper, their best tracks were Cairo and Free Palestine. I can share their album if anyone wants it, they used to distribute it for free but not anymore, I think.

Bullehshah I am surprised you are an anime fan, etc since whenever Muslims express an interest in Arabic culture you seem dead against it, at least that's what I have got from some of your posts. I am not having a go at you at all, and I'm pleasantly surprised I share some of the same interests as you and Fraudia, I never expected it at all.

Let me clarify since Arab culture sounds too monolithic. I like Levantine Arab culture, and despise the Bedouin Arab culture of the Arabian Peninsula.
Thanks for clarifying but my point was, you express an interest in Japanese culture which is not connected to your own at all, yet you express distaste at those Muslims/asians who are facinsated by certain Arab cultures. Shouldn't people be free to decide what they like?
BTW I am torn on the subject-Arab culture is forever linked to Islam yet as Muslims from Pakistan I don't want our Pakistani culture to be killed off by the current trend these days to disown the culture we were born into. I can see the point of view of those who say certain elements of our culture are un-Islamic but I don't think that means we should cut all ties with it, we will be worse off for sure if we throw away our roots. IMHO of course.

The difference between myself and others is that I do not think my culture is backward whereas those Arab-worshipping Pakistanis think otherwise.
Those are the same types that think Sufism is bidah.
Mediterranean and East-European Gora guys are well fit (tanned up) but I think they get bland the further north/west of Europe you go...
...That's guys I'm talking about, girls are hot regardless of race or nationality.
You reminded me, I do know of one British Paki woman who married a Gora.
She was a widow with kids my age, she started going around with this Muslim-"evangelist" group preaching around the country, one day one of the ladies in the group told her that she found out through her husband that one of their mutual Gora friends from school was on the same tour and that he was now a converted Muslim preacher, this lady was pleasently surprised and arranged a meeting with him, they caught up on old times and decided to get married, but her sons have disowned her after the marriage, because in our culture second marriage for women who have children to support her financially is seen as slutty even if the man is of our community and when it's an outsider it's like the ultimate disgrace for her sons, but the wider Paki/Pashtun community have accepeted her just fine, except for the odd comments like "issey itney saarey mardon mein se sirf gora hi mila tha?" from aunties.
