Great story this. 3 times loseing finalist and chronic under-achiever Goran Ivanisovic has finally won Wimbledon at the 4th attempt. The lunatic Croat who was 125/1 outsider is no longer a leading player any more and most people thought his time was long gone. But in one of the most highly charged atmospheres in Wimbledon history, he beat favourite, Pat Rafter over 5 sets.
Congrats Goran.

Good. I was really hoping he'd win. Especially bcz he had a wild card entry and everyone had written him off.
And he improved his record of most Aces in Wimbeldon. Now thats something. :)

I’ve been sniff sniff a fan of this guy since I was like 12. No no, 11.
Since then , he’s been ma fav tennis player but I was soo saddened at his match losses.
Sometimes he’s be way way low with his wins,
other times way way high … or close enuff. But not high enuff.

Since winning Wimbledon he has written an open letter to the Croatian parliament, along with other leading Croation sportsman, demanding that war criminals are not handed over to the Hague as Milosevic was.
