Google voice - Siri's competition

There is new one launched recently. Read an article. Can someone would be kind enough to share more details?

Re: Google voice - Siri's competition

I've used both Siri and Google Voice Search. Have to say I like both. Both do an excellent job of helping you find stuff, set your alarms, entertaining you lol!

Re: Google voice - Siri's competition

Just look up Siri. you will know everything about S voice. Cause S voice is same exact copy of it.

Re: Google voice - Siri’s competition

To be honest I don’t like using either. I don’t like talking to me phone. :bummer: Rather do it myself.

Re: Google voice - Siri’s competition

I use it when I’m driving and all of a sudden I need some info or directions or need to check the weather or something.

The thing with me is that I like to explore every feature of my phone and all the apps I have to the most details I can handle. I may not understand the tech aspect of everything, but I have to check it out even if I come out getting even more confused :hehe:!

Re: Google voice - Siri’s competition

:hehe: I know - you love to explore everything. It’s good that you take advantage of every feature of your phone.

Re: Google voice - Siri's competition

The new version of Android, JellyBean, has a voice feature built in that's way better than Samsung S-Voice (so even tons better than silly Siri). I've been using it off and on but like all voice recognition it doesn't work 100% of the time. Till they can get to very close to 100% people are not going to use it.

Re: Google voice - Siri’s competition

^^ People generally don’t use most features on their phone. I wonder how many folks will actually use the Google Now on Jelly Bean. I know I will. Can’t wait :sadiyah:

Re: Google voice - Siri's competition

Google Now is the biggest thing in JB. The quick cards, the integration with all GoogleApps (e.g. Calendar, contacts, etc), Google maps, Latitude, in short all the good features of having an Android experience comes together in Google Now.

When i'm getting ready for work in the morning I go to Google Now, it shows me what the weather is like, it shows me the appointments, I can click on the person I'm about to meet and it gives me all the person's info, I click on the location and it gives me directions (driving and public) on how to get there.
Then when i'm the client site it shows me how to get back home (with a small map). If I have another appointment that gets listed out in a "card".

It automatically shows me what the cricket scores are of a PK team and the GIants team. It shows me the last few searches i've done on Chrome when i was on my laptop, with any new updates (Google Alerts).

I can go on for a few pages about Google Now. I'm not even going to compare that with Siri (beta). It's tarbooz to Apple's oranges :)

Re: Google voice - Siri's competition

Oh wow. I am really looking forward to using it. Have used it on the Nexus 7 but very limited of course.

Re: Google voice - Siri’s competition

This goes to me, I don’t know how to use few apps on my phone. :bummer: It is not because I don’t want to,it is because i don’t get enough time. Student

Re: Google voice - Siri's competition

Oh come on, this much u can learn while ur in the potty. You just need to want to, that's all it takes.
