watch out msn…here comes competition!! although hotmail offers less storage as compared to gmail, it still was more widely used for hotmail was integrated into the messenger. now that google will possibly be out with its own messenger, gmail will soar to popularity.

MS is one step ahead they integrated their messenger with PSTN/PBX… You can make phone calls from messenger, Exchange, even MS word/Excel…
Its called (LCS) Live communications server it works with the client (OC) Office Communicator and Windows messenger 5.1.

In some instances LCS is free if you have Exchange 2003 installed. I remember reading about it when I integrated it for a client. But I don’t like the Windows Messenger, its missing some bells and whistles which are present in MSN Messenger. Hopefully they’d update it soon.
But for now its Cisco Call Manager for me

^^ I just started on this project, should be all set in a few weeks. Yes Unity as well. Currently we're setting up a test environment.

I am using LCS as we speak, integration with Cisco CM is next step.
