Re: Google app-inventor applications getting approved
aaho, this is not your domain. admit it and relax.
Do some testing.
Re: Google app-inventor applications getting approved
There is no pre-publishing preview for android apps like what apple and MS does (couple of weeks for review before app is actually published for users), however according to terms and conditions Google can take down your app if its found to be doing something malicious.
Re: Google app-inventor applications getting approved
As a hobby Programmer i really wanted to do some Android Development, but i hate Java (i know about the NDK, i have it, still you need to access C with Java code), Please google give us a better NDK with 3.0 Gingerbread.
Re: Google app-inventor applications getting approved
the NDK is just for doing high performance stuff. Google has said that Java is the official way to do apps for android.
however if you want to do GUI for android in C++ then Qt for Android can allow you do to that: check out: Google Code Archive - Long-term storage for Google Code Project Hosting.
Re: Google app-inventor applications getting approved
Yup, i just download the latest QT (4.7) today, loving it (for Symbian S60), i never released any apps that i made, but loves coding
Insha Allah in the coming months will release my first app on the Android Market, then WinPhone 7 App market, then iOS Apps store ![]()
Re: Google app-inventor applications getting approved
if you need inspiration for Qt stuff on Symbian then look at this:

Re: Google app-inventor applications getting approved
But Symbian is dying, SE already stopped working on any new Symbian device, and Nokia will be using MeeGo for their high-end handsets, actually am excited about MeeGo, its a real linux implementation unlike Android and its Davlik.
P.S: can we have a Brainstorm session here for a new app for mobile phones (Android first, then the other platforms) i will do the coding ![]()
P.S 2: i was a big SE fanboy till last year, used SE phones exclusively, from the T610 → W800 → P990 → P1i → X1i → Satio, but now my fav mobile company is struggling to release a Android 2.1 update for their flagship phone (X10)
PS3: i did my first mobile development on Symbian C++ for 6th Sem CS project, there where no QT back then, it was all the horrible Carbon and Symbian C++ SDK from Nokia
Re: Google app-inventor applications getting approved
Symbian is not dying, Nokia said that they expect to ship 50 million symbian device by next year.
Any ways Symbian and Android are the future, they are both going to be big. Android in the West and Symbian everywhere else.
Meego seems good but lets see when it comes.
Re: Google app-inventor applications getting approved
Well lets see when symbian S^4 comes out, at the moment imo symbian^1 looks well not so impressive compared to android although I haven’t used any device using symbian^3 yet.
And an interesting comments about nokia using android:
